Our Services:

For the health of our members and our visitors, we are taking the COVID restrictions very seriously. All of our services are streamed live on Zoom and we ask that if you are not feeling well that you attend our service online.

Upcoming Services:

Our regular services are on Sundays at 10 am, both in person and on Zoom.

This summer we will be taking one or two Sundays to visit our neighboring churches. There will be no service on August 6th, and we are planning an outdoor service for August 13th.

If you are interested in joining us on Zoom, email us or visit us on Facebook to receive the Zoom link.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be pressured to give?

No, giving is entirely voluntary. Most services have two offerings.

The first offering is for our church budget - things like paying for the upkeep of the church, pastors salaries, our programs and so on.

Our Second Offerings go to special causes both in our community (like the Food Bank) and abroad (supporting our missionaries, etc).

What are your services like?

In a typical service we have a time of opening worship in song, a time of confession using responsive readings and prayer, a 15-20 min. sermon; finishing with song, prayers and offerings.

We value Bible based, practical preaching and we LOVE to sing. Our songs are a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary Christian songs.

What should I wear?

Please where whatever you are comfortable wearing.

Some of our members dress up, but most people dress more business casual.

Can I take Communion?

We normally celebrate communion the first Sunday in February; Good Friday, first Sunday in June, August, October, and December.

If you believe that salvation comes from faith in Christ alone, you are welcome to take communion with us.

Do you have a nursery?

We are very comfortable with children being children during worship. However, there is a nursery where parents can take young children and infants.

Before the COVID restrictions we had nursery attendants, but currently we are asking one parent to stay with their child. The nursery has a speaker so you can still listen to the service.

Are you still the “Dutch Church”?

Our church was founded in the 1950s by a group of farm immigrants from the Netherlands with a Reformed church background. Over the years we were known informally as “the Dutch church” in Truro.

While many of us still have Dutch roots, we do have a number of members from other cultures and ethnicities.
